KRHA’s mission is to ensure
equitable distribution of and access to health care for
rural Kentuckians. This mission requires that our members
know what’s going on legislatively.
Please remember that we are
the healthcare experts in our communities. Our elected
officials are usually not healthcare experts, and they need
our help to make good decisions. They
may not know or understand
rural health care needs. Legislators need our information
and need to know our experiences. If we as members of this
organization don’t provide
them with information, they
may get incorrect guidance from somewhere else.
